Mrs. Rosemary Agbonlahor
obtained a B.Sc. degree in Physics and a masters degree in
Information Science (M.Inf.Sc) both from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria
in
1990 and 1993 respectively . She received a Federal Government of
Nigeria Scholarship award for Postgraduate Studies in 1991.
She has worked as a Research Assistant in the Malaria Immunology
Project, Zoology Department, University of Ibadan in 1991; a part-time Lecturer in
Management Information Systems and Business Information Systems at the Professional Study
Group Ibadan from 1991 to 1992; and an Assistant Librarian in the Research Collection and
Systems Development Division of the Edo State University Library, Ekpoma from 1994 to
1997.
She is presently a Lecturer at the Africa Regional Centre for
Information Science, University of Ibadan where she teaches courses in Organization of Information
and Data Sources, Information Retrieval, and Quantitative data analysis. She
is also a doctoral student at ARCIS. Her research
interests include Organizational and cultural impacts of information
technologies, and Information retrieval systems. She is a member of American Society for Information Science
and Technology (ASIST).
