Dr. Ehikhamenor's educational
background includes a master's degree in geology from the University
of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife), Nigeria; a master's degree in library science from the University of
Ibadan, and a doctorate degree in information science from the College of Information Studies, Drexel
University, Philadelphia, USA.
He is presently a Reader and the Acting Director of the Africa Regional Centre for
Information Science (ARCIS), University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Before joining ARCIS in 1990, he had worked for more than a decade as a Librarian at the University
of Ibadan Library. He was Acting Director of ARCIS between November 1996 and April 1999.
His areas of expertise include: library, information and documentation
services; scholarly communication in science and technology; STI systems; systems analysis
and implementation; organizational and societal issues in information technology.
