The ARCIS Alumni Association was inaugurated
on the 7th of November 2003 on the occasion of the ARCIS
Reunion Dinner held at the ARCIS premises, University of Ibadan.
All ARCIS graduates, past and present are automatic members of the
association which is designed to provide an effective forum for professional
interaction, and collective effort by Alumni to improve the
information science profession and ARCIS.
The executive of the
Alumni Association is currently reaching out to members as a means
of carrying them along with the initiatives. The major
on-going project is the development of a membership information
management system, which requires current information on members. So
all Alumni who are yet to do so should please fill a copy of the biodata
form.
An important resolution adopted during the
inauguration programme was that the annual ARCIS Reunion Dinner and
Award Night be scheduled to take place on the last Saturday
preceding the University of Ibadan Convocation ceremony, at the
ARCIS premises. All past and present ARCIS graduates are encouraged
to attend the programme.
